I wanted to make you aware of an upcoming community seminar being organised in partnership with the Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA) regarding the review of the Lake District Local Development Plan.

What: What is the Local Plan for the Lake District – and why is it important?

This free event is part of a series of in-person seminars hosted by ACTion with Communities in Cumbria to help communities better understand the Local Plan Review process, which begins this autumn. The session will include a presentation from Chloe Swift, Strategy Planner at the Lake District National Park Authority, followed by group discussion on local opportunities and future community planning.

The seminar aims to help communities become more informed and “plan-ready” ahead of the wider consultation process expected in 2026.
